Ian Kennedy Photography
Thanks for looking at my site . It will help with viewing if you press F11 now - you then won't need to scroll down to see the bottom of some of the portrait photos
I have been taking photos for the last 20 years or so and this has led to a portfolio of work , some of which is showcased here. Most of my work is taken in and around Huddersfield but this is by no means all that is available so please have a look at the drop down menu above for the different categories available. I am teacher by trade but have developed my photography hobby to include wedding photography (please contact if interested - as I’m a teacher I often get called upon to organise if the Best man is a little tied up which I’m more than happy to do ! ) commission work and the publishing of two books and ten annual calendars covering Huddersfield. I am the official photographer for the annual St Patrick's Day parade and also at Greenhead College where I work. I also enjoy photographing staged scenes for amateur dramatic works but for reasons of confidentiality I am unable to showcase such work here - please email if interested.
Locally my photos have featured in several local newspaper articles and calendars. My work is on the walls of a ward at HRI, Reeds Reins Estate Agents in town, The Huddersfield Crematorium, the Parish Church postcards and an old peoples home in Quarmby! My greetings cards and framed prints of mainly Huddersfield scenes are on sale in Crafty Praxis in town and fridge magnets are for sale in the Library shop.
My work has featured in Yorkshire Life magazine, Amateur Photographer magazine and the Sunday Times Supplement. I have won the Yorkshire section of the National Parks Photography competition and had work published in the Yorkshire Life annual Calendar. I have won three photography competitions for Canal photos and even managed a win for a national snowdrop competition ! My greatest achievement was having a photograph (of Ribblehead Viaduct) included in the National Landcsape Photographer of the Year book in 2013.
I hope you enjoy looking - there is an option to buy if you should feel so moved -should you require sizes other than those offered please don't hesitate to email.
